The NBA Post-season is just around the corner, and with the Cleveland Cavalier a lock for one of the top spots in the Eastern Conference it was befitting that Nike introduces LeBron James’ playoffs sneaker for this year’s playoff run.
Packed with plenty of technical updates the Elite version looks to carry the trend of its predecessors.
The shoe uses a Kurim cage upper (a Polyurethane material designed to be resistant to abrasion, but still be flexible), a full-length bootie and additional hex-Zoom pads on the outsoles. It’s the Kurim change that provides the most distinct difference from the Lebron 13, with the Hyperposite-clad upper being replaced by what may argue is a much more sleeker (and hopefully more comfortable) silhouette.
The LeBron 13 Elite will launch first in the red colorway pictured on April 14th, followed by the white colourway on May 5th and the black colourway on May 26th.
